First of all thanks in advance for such a nice fork of 7z.
Now...
I am aware that Winrar extracts the archive (behind the scenes) to accomplish this but this feature is the only reason i still use winrar most of the time.
I think that a good way to implement this would be to have an option/button to "Search through archive" maybe it will warn the user with a dilogue that says something like "just a heads up this technically extracts the contents" and have a "do not show again" check box or something. This would be immensly helpful for workflow and such being able to search for file names and esspecially strings within files like winrar.
Only extract the archive for searching when user is searching and not when they are done.
