darwin-rebuild switch --flake: killing backgroundtaskmanagementd shows up as an alert in EDR systems #869

Haven't been able to pinpoint exactly which launch script causes it yet.

Rebuilding the system with darwin-rebuild switch --flake ~/.dotfiles with these dotfiles causes the backgroundtaskmanagementd daemon to stop. Endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems detect it as a malware tactic, to hide the notification about new background tasks being added.
