I've been trying to get system metrics out over serial to an OLED display powered by an Arduino. All of the methods I've come across to do this involve referencing librehardwaremonitorlib.dll from a custom VB or C# program, which involves having to configure references and compile (not to mention having to know how to use those languages in the first place).
It appears to export metrics to a serial console, ready for consumption by a display, though it is missing in LibreHardwareMonitor. Is there any reason this was removed, and is there feasibility for enabling support for exposing metrics over serial via the GUI, similar to the built-in webserver functionality?
Ideally the user would be able to configure COM port, baud rate and exposed metrics from a menu.

Whilst googling around, I found this as part of the original Openhardwaremonitor repository:
https://github.com/cody82/open-hardware-monitor/blob/master/Utilities/Serial.cs
(Actually I just figured out that this is actually a fork)
