REST API calls fail with Error: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)

Expected Behavior

A REST API call that worked in another REST API testing tool is not working in Insomnia.
It is an HTTP request so no issue with ssl and there is no proxy server in between.

Actual Behavior

Error: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)
