I am interested in opening files referenced from other files, and someone pointed me to your extension. It looks like a perfect match, except that I would have expected the directory of the currently open file to be the first base directory to be looked in. Is that possible?

What I am seeing now is that I can press Alt-D, but I get no reaction at all when I am on a valid filename. (When I press Alt-D at other parts, I get a "Current cursor position is not valid" error.)

To conclude:

  • I wonder why I don't get some error or warning as well in my situation, although no file is opened.
  • I would like to achieve the desired effect that I can open files by relative pathname. Can I configure your extension accordingly?
  • Finally, I wonder if your extension should behave like this by default. Or would that hurt other use cases?

BTW: Of course, the "You must have a workspace opened." would no longer be an error message.
