Adding an empty front matter block to the contributing guidelines should make Jekyll convert it to html.
Currently the link the README.md to the contributing guidelines shows the raw Markdown file, when it is rendered as the home page of the website, instead of showing a rendered HTML page for the contributing guidelines.
https://github.com/InnerSourceCommons/ispo-working-group/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md has a mermaid diagram that is natively rendered by GitHub when showing the rendered markdown file, but it is not natively rendered by our Jekyll theme at the website (https://innersourcecommons.github.io/ispo-working-group/CONTRIBUTING.html).
