Request: Mozjpeg support #105
Comments
Indeed MozJPEG is vastly superior in terms of quality and filesizes. I've been using https://squoosh.app to encode mozjpeg because that's the only tool available to me, but I would love to be able to do batch encoding, with a native app like yours. |
A better option could be to compile Jpegoptim with Mozjpeg. See tjko/jpegoptim#41 for example. |
A new backwards-compatible contender intended to replace mozjpeg, from one of the authors of JPEG XL: https://opensource.googleblog.com/2024/04/introducing-jpegli-new-jpeg-coding-library.html |
Would be nice if Curtail could support Mozjpeg instead of Jpegoptim.
