official teaching/support certification for FreeCAD #80
Comments
This idea is also dear to @PLChris ... Yes, we should begin to think how to set that up. I think there are two "flavours" here, one is a certification that you are a professional able to work with FreeCAD, and another one that you are able to teach FreeCAD. But maybe they are only one? The main difficulty is to define what you should know to be considered a FreeCAD pro... We might as well start talking about that here. |
I know, we have written about that.
I second that, maybe also in WB categories. Example: while in Part/PartDesign/TechDraw/FEM and more i am a poweruser, practically i know nothing about Arch. Anyway, i just wanted to deposit it here, that it does not get forgotten. Also creating a structure will take a while. |
Hello!
I do not know, if the FPA is the correct place for that, if not, let me know that.
In the world wide web, there are many incorrect teaching suggestions for FreeCAD. Even there are people out there, who (not directly) claim to be "FreeCAD support", even they do not know anything about that.
Since FreeCAD is in the road to get 1.0 (even it will take a while), it seems that something like that is needed in future. So i thought, since it takes a while to build a structure for that, is suggested it here for now.
