VS Code Extension consume power significantly

I used Codeium on VS Code and consumed such power significantly compared to when I disabled it. I used a Macbook Pro M1 Pro 16 inch with Sonoma 14.2.1

Looks like the language server is consuming insane amounts of CPU.
My computer is crippled with the update that happened a while ago.

I fixed this by disabling the search function in settings for the extension.

Happens on two of my Linux machines as well, started with the last update, I'm on v1.6.24
