Remove Moq from recomendations #15
Comments
Elaborate? |
Oh sorry, the way I worded it was a little odd. Moq itself has no functionality problem, but the author added a function that silently scrapes your email and sends it to him. That's definitely fishy and generated a giant backlash from the community a few weeks ago. He removed it later but wasn't very sorry at all. Don't know the current situation, but that broke most people's trust of the author. Since Nick said in the youtube video (titled "Remove Moq From Your .NET Projects Right NOW!") that he wouldn't use Moq and recommended people to avoid it, I thought it would be a good idea to remove it from this roadmap. |
As per your own recomendation in one of your recent videos, MOQ has had some very werid behavior.
Under Testing/Unit Testing/Mocking you recommend both NSubstitute and Moq.
It's a good idea to remove it so you don't lead people who may not be aware of the recent problems with Moq.
