Either I'm really stupid or there's no option to change piece icons (they are chess symbols by default, supposed I wanted them in Japanese). Could be both :^

You could change them in the menu opened by pressing the following button

Ohhhh.... sorry. Well, it wouldn't hurt to have this in "Styles" menu.
