Please share the commands you're running. And your platform details. The test is passing for me.

Just tried your steps and all tests pass. I can't reproduce your problem.

I'm not sure what the issue is unfortunately. Maybe there is something impacting the tests that isn't being accounted for. Like maybe global gitignore rules or a stray .ignore file in /tmp or something like that. Not sure.
