How do I build a new Docker image of the Webapp?

I have some customizations that I want to make to the webapp, like a different icon and a custom welcome message. I make the changes to the code in the repo and try and build the project, however none of my changes are brought into the project. Where or how do I rebuild the Docker image for the webapp?
