I am very enthusiastic about Codiad, and now that I have discovered Atheos I am even more so.
One feature I have found in other editors is the possibility to save the history of file changes with undo capability.
I know this could be very complex work but also very useful.
The example software is Icecoder which, however, I don't like for other many other things.

How does this look within the UX?

It actually might not be that hard, there is already a draft feature that autosaves files to a server cache folder and if you open a file that has a draft, it asks if you want to use the draft file content.
