Specify runtime-file for appimagetool #504
Comments
I don't think it is implemented. To create AppImages for ARM using this tool, best run pkg2appimage on ARM (or in QEMU). |

Is it possible somehow to specify the --runtime-file (or any other) parameter for appimagetool invocation? I'm trying to create an AppImage for raspberry from the cross compiled artifacts on an x86_64 machine. pkg2appimage respects the
ARCH
environment variable but at the end the resulting AppImage is still not in ARM format, only the inside data like the AppRun executable.According to https://github.com/AppImage/pkg2appimage/blob/04166f66368d545764cddf387cb6fd089f323100/pkg2appimage#L487
the updateinformation argument can be abused to pass the --runtime-file argument as well, but is there a better way?
Maybe this should even be done automatically?
