We had a discussion on the forum about the notifications, and whether we could group them (differently): https://forum.antennapod.org/t/change-info-that-is-shown-in-notifications/3106/10 Could I ask you to read up on that and share your thoughts on the arguments there? That'll help us triage the request. Also related to notifications: #6622 (comment)
Seeing the big warning from Google about custom notifications, I think it's not worth the effort of additional maintenance & support work. |

Problem you may be having, or feature you want
Currently the notification for new episode (or episodes) only tells the user that "Podcast X has a new episode", and that's it. It's missing crucial information the user may want to have without having to open the app. The user also can't do anything except tap on the notification and see the podcast page.
Suggested solution
It would be preferable to have a notification with the following :

As per the "Notification anatomy" section of Android :
Set the (5) title as the name of the podcast and the (6) text as the episode name.
Using a custom notification could be nice too.
