TTS does not start playing

Instructions:

For example:

1. Opened app
2. Press Speak on side menu
3. Press play button
   -> Get toaster pop-up saying "Stop" and no audio actually starts

Same happens when I choose the repeating speech option, it gives an error saying it has stopped the audio.

Thanks! Re-confirming what I confirmed via email: I do have Google Speech services installed, which seem to be working fine on other apps.
