Is step 2 of the documentation still up to date?

Hope this question isn't too much trouble.

In step 1.2 of the docs it says that the file app/AppKernel.php should be adjusted to activate the bundle, specifically the method registerBundles() should be included.

In my Symfony 5.3 installation the above file does not exist. Should I just create this file? Or am I missing something else?
