That's also the solution we use currently. However the GDPR fields of MailChimp allow you to display additional, detailed text in the MailChimp form - which is by default not possible with groups.

But this is something you could inject into the form with the hook (which will hopefully be implemented soon 😉).

In the meantime there are infos that MailChimp has updated his API with DSGVO/GDPR. Are there any news with this concerning this project?
